Traveling from Out-of-Town
Drs. Jason Litner and Peyman Solieman are double board-certified facial plastic surgeons whose expertise in rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty is sought after by patients from throughout the US as well as from around the world. They frequently see patients from Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Mexico, and have had patients from Greece, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, Iran, Israel, Indonesia as well as Australia.
Preparing for any surgery can be anxiety-provoking, especially if you are in an unfamiliar city without all of your friends and family around for support. That’s why we take great care to help provide that extra support you may need. We have close relationships with a number of nearby hotels, car services, and other amenities to meet any need and every budget. And, we can arrange for a stay of just one night or even a whole week at one of the terrific aftercare facilities in the area, depending on your needs and wants.
While you will need the first day after surgery for recovery, most of our procedures do not require a lot of down time. So, most of our out-of-town patients spend time enjoying everything Los Angeles has to offer either before or after surgery. We are centrally located in the West Hollywood/Beverly Hills area and convenient to great shopping, dining, and entertainment venues, and we’re more than happy to give you our top recommendations.
Consultations for our Out-of-Town Patients
Cosmetic surgery is a substantial investment of your time and money, and we recognize that out-of-town consultations can present special challenges. So, we have developed a system that adapts to the special needs of those coming from out of town.
1. Once you contact our office, either Annelise or Baharak will ask you to send us photos of yourself in front, side, and ¾ views just as you see them in our photo gallery. You can also use our contact us form to upload your photos (make sure each photo is under 2MB) or send by email to doctors@bhprofiles.com
2. Drs. Solieman and Litner will review your pictures and get an initial sense of the result that would give you the beautiful and natural look you are seeking.
3. Annelise will then arrange for a skype consultation with both Drs Litner and Solieman. The skype consult allows you to meet the doctors and ask all the questions you normally would ask during your appointment, as well as serve as the opportunity to go over all of your goals- both from an aesthetic/ cosmetic sense as well as to make sure we understand any functional/ breathing problems you may need to have addressed.
4. After the meeting, Baharak will email you a quote for the surgery as well as our surgical packet that includes all of the preoperative as well as postoperative information you may need. This thorough reference will then serve as your guide for everything you can expect before and after surgery.
5. All surgery is outpatient and done in our Certified Profiles Surgery Center.
6. You will typically go back to your hotel room after adequate time of observation in our center. You will have private duty plastic surgery nurses available for you who can stay with you in a nearby hotel, if you are traveling alone. Your safety is our number one priority. You will be discharged from our facility only after you have been completely stabilized and have meet US standards for discharge from outpatient surgery.
7. You will be helped in making all your arrangements by our staff every step of the way.
8. Once you decide to proceed with surgery at PROFILES, you can undergo your preoperative testing and medical clearance, if necessary, somewhere convenient to you.
9. You should plan to arrive in Los Angeles one or two days before your scheduled procedure so that we have a chance to have an in depth preoperative consultation to review your concerns, imaging, and the goals of the procedure.
10. You can only book a surgery date by paying a non-refundable 20 percent deposit.
Throughout the process, you can be assured of complete discretion during your stay here and throughout our correspondence.
Special Considerations for our Out-of-Town Patients
Your safety and satisfaction are our primary concerns. If you’re traveling a long distance to see us, there are a few extra precautions that we need to consider. We will give you extensive information regarding postoperative care and we’ll review it with you at each visit to make sure you’re comfortable with what you’re seeing at home every step of the way.
Long-term follow-up is very important to us. So, we’ll want to keep in touch regularly and will stay in touch with you either via skype consults, or if you have reason to be back in town, with occasional visits up to one year or longer after surgery, depending on your preference and needs.
While the idea of surgery away from home can be a little daunting, we want to reassure you that we’ll do all we can to remove the worry and to make you feel as much at home away from home as possible.
