Small Surgery, Big Results

Our team of double board-certified facial plastic surgeons comprised of Dr. Jason Litner and Dr. Peyman Solieman, recommends mini facelifts to correct targeted areas such as hollow cheeks, fatty deposits in jowls, prominent nasolabial folds, and loose skin on the neck. A mini lift is performed under local sedation to quicken recovery and reduce downtime. Drs. Litner and Solieman are proud to offer patients incredible rejuvenating results with this LA procedure.

Countless doctors today offer a variety of trendy lift procedures, selling patients on the latest treatments regardless of each patient’s specific needs. While keeping up to date with the latest cosmetic procedure trends, Drs. Litner and Solieman pride themselves on providing their patients with the optimal treatment for their unique situation, rather than pushing them toward the “in fashion” procedure of the moment.

Drs. Litner and Solieman often see patients whose facial wrinkles are too deep to be effectively removed with injectable fillers, yet they do not wish to undergo a full lift procedure. As an alternative, our Profiles Beverly Hills facial plastic surgeons may recommend a mini lift or their innovative proprietary hybrid facelift.

When the surgeons perform a mini lift, they operate using strategically placed minor incisions to decrease residual scarring, allowing them to achieve noticeable, natural-looking results that last for years.

WHY CHOOSE PROFILES BEVERLY HILLS FOR YOUR MINI LIFT SURGERY?

Drs. Litner and Solieman perform every procedure together, including their mini lifts, at their accredited Los Angeles practice and surgical facility. When it comes to facial plastic surgery, minute decisions can change the surgical result from good to excellent. Over the years, our surgeons have learned to build off each other’s respective strengths, complementing each other’s skills for the sole benefit of the patient. We believe it is in part because of their teamwork that Drs. Litner and Solieman are considered among the highest-rated facial plastic surgeons in L.A., maintaining a low revision rate.

RECOVERY TIME AFTER THE PROCEDURE

The recovery time, though shorter than that of a traditional facelift, is equally important to achieve the best possible final results. Patients should plan to take about one week off work and their normal routine for recovery and should refrain from strenuous physical activity for at least two weeks after surgery.

WHAT RESULTS CAN BE EXPECTED?

Results of your mini facelift are nearly immediate and can last up to 10 years. Drs. Litner and Solieman stress that a mini lift does not heed as dramatic results as does the hybrid lift surgery. A mini lift, nonetheless, will leave you feeling and looking more youthful and invigorated.

As with all surgeries they perform, the doctors at PROFILES Beverly Hills are attentive to providing the most natural results for your mini facelift so that you do not look overdone. For more information on this or other cosmetic procedures that suit your needs, contact our office today.

MINI VS. TRADITIONAL FULL FACELIFT

Drs. Litner and Solieman will recommend a particular procedure only after considering your unique needs and desires. They typically recommend a mini over a hybrid facelift to patients who show relatively fewer signs of aging, have fewer wrinkles and loose or sagging facial skin. During a mini lift procedure, small incisions are made to tighten facial muscles. The skin is then redraped. While general anesthesia is administered during a traditional full lift surgery, a mini lift requires just local anesthesia with sedation, reducing recovery time substantially.

During your private consultation, Drs. Solieman and Litner will examine your skin and facial muscle condition, understand your expectations, and help you choose a procedure that can best match your goals using 3D modeling to visualize how you will look after surgery.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN ADVANTAGES?

A mini lift can be a great solution for a variety of patients as the treatment offers distinct benefits. Benefits of a mini lift compared to a full lift include:

  • Quicker recovery time
  • Requires smaller incisions
  • Minimally invasive, leaving minimal signs of scarring
  • Involves less bleeding and numbness during and after the procedure
  • Less tissue damage, resulting in fewer potential risks
  • Less costly

Still not sure if a Mini Facelift is a good solution for you?

WHO IS A CANDIDATE FOR THIS PROCEDURE?

Patients who choose a mini facelift are often younger than those who seek the traditional full lift surgery, which means that signs of aging are less significant. The best candidates are those who suffer from skin and muscle looseness especially around the jowl line while the neck remains relatively tight.

Mini lifts are typically performed on patients in their late thirties to mid-fifties. In some cases, patients who had previously undergone a primary traditional facelift procedure and would like to touch up and extend the results find that a mini procedure is a good option.

WHAT ARE THE RISKS?

Mini lifts are not as complex as full lift procedures. However, there are still some potential risks and temporary side-effects that you should take into consideration.

Some of these include:

  • Bleeding and hematomas
  • Minimal risk of infection and nerve injury
  • Temporary hardening of the incision
  • Scarring
  • Skin discoloration

At Profiles Beverly Hills, we do everything in our power to minimize side effects. We have years of experience successfully performing mini lifts and we do our utmost to provide our patients with the results they have been longing for.

FAQs

As a general rule, less invasive procedures tend to produce lower grades of discomfort. During a full facelift, patients may experience mild to moderate pain. Mini lifts are not as complex, so the discomfort can usually be managed with over the counter analgesics.

After the recovery stage has passed, you will look youthful and refreshed. However, many factors affect the longevity of a mini facelift. At Profiles Beverly Hills, Drs. Litner and Solieman perform mini lifts that last up to 10 years. Learn more by booking a consultation today.

The mini lift procedure is less complex than the full or hybrid facelift. It is minimally invasive, only requires local anesthesia, and leaves minimal signs of scarring. During this procedure, Drs. Litner and Solieman will make small incisions and tighten the facial muscles before redraping the skin and suturing it back together.

All patients are different, but in most cases, results are visible immediately after the recovery and can last up to a decade. This procedure is ideal for patients that have recently started showing signs of aging because it does not produce results as dramatic as a full or hybrid facelift.

Full lifts are ideal for patients that have advanced signs of aging and skin sagging. Mini lifts, on the other hand, are suitable for patients that are looking for a slight touch-up. The advantage of mini lifts is that they can be performed under local anesthesia and have a shorter recovery period.
