Beverly Hills Botox
People of all ages are using Botox Cosmetic™ on a regular basis. It is most often used in patients from the late twenties upward to improve the earliest signs of aging, especially in areas around the eyes and forehead. It is most effective for mild to moderate aging changes in patients who aren’t ye t ready for a surgical procedure.
Your Botox Procedure Location
Here at Beverly Hills PROFILES, we perform all of our Botox Cosmetic™ procedures safely and comfortably in our state of the art office environment.
Beverly Hills Botox – Anesthesia
While most patients find this procedure to be almost painless, we routinely offer topical and local anesthesia if you desire it. Here at Profiles, we want to be absolutely certain that we provide you every care possible to make your experience with us as enjoyable as possible.
The Botox Injections
At your initial Botox Cosmetic™ Consultation, we will take the time you need to determine if Botox is right for you and to explain, in detail if you wish, what you can expect. Los Angeles and Beverly Hills Botox specialist Dr. Litner or Dr. Solieman will then examine your facial movement and areas of wrinkling in order to precisely determine the optimal locations to be treated. The Botox is then administered directly into the muscle with several tiny injections. The process itself takes about ten minutes to complete.
Beverly Hills Botox at PROFILES
Botox™ is the single most popular cosmetic office procedure in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and the world.
The question is why you should get your Botox treatment in Beverly Hills at PROFILES rather than anywhere else?
Today in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills there are innumerable physicians, dentists, nurses and “spas” that promote Botox use. The entrance of a varied group of physicians as well as nurses and other “allied health professionals” into “cosmetic surgery” has left many people confused as to what Botox is, how Botox works, and how much Botox treatments and Botox injections should cost.
Having a practice in Beverly Hills – Los Angeles, we’ve learned that when we see our Botox patients that we really need to gauge the patients expectations, and to have a candid discussion of how much Botox is necessary to accomplish those goals.
The truth is that many people want to have a totally frozen forehead, others simply want some softening of some active lines; still others may want a slight elevation in the brow. As Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeons we try always to educate our Botox patients to say that a little bit of Botox or other facial fillers can sometimes go a long way toward achieving the desired goals. As a result we find our patients are not only happy but also saving money.
We’ve read elsewhere “Botox is not very user dependent…As long as you inject it in roughly the right spot, it works. It’s like a flu shot. You can have it in your deltoid or your buttocks and it spreads out. It doesn’t have to be to the millimeter.”
At PROFILES, we wonder if patients would go to a Botox treatment center if they knew that the owners felt that way about their Botox treatments.
In our experience and in our practice, each patient is viewed individually both in terms of their concerns and with respect to their anatomy. Some patients have stronger muscles or thicker skin and require more Botox, other patients are very clear in knowing that they don’t want to be frozen and require less Botox. But only by listening to their concerns and understanding their anatomy can we discern these issues. Moreover, and perhaps even more importantly, some patients present thinking they need Botox when really they would do much better if they had a filler, a combination of Botox and a filler, or something totally different, like a peel.
If you have not had a Botox treatment before, you should know that Botox™ is a purified protein that is injected as a clear solution into the facial muscles responsible for the formation of wrinkles. It relaxes these muscles in a non-permanent way to give you a healthier, more youthful and energetic appearance. The most common areas treated with Botox are the forehead, frown lines between the eyes, and crow’s feet around the eyes, followed by other areas of the face. Botox™ can even be used to reduce “necklace” lines in the neck, to decrease the appearance of a “gummy” smile, or to minimize unappealing bunching of the chin muscles.
You will probably find the Botox treatment effect lasts 3 to 4 months. But, many of our patients happily report that, by returning for repeated treatments, this time interval can be extended to 6 months or more. Most people are using Botox™ as a natural extension to their beauty regimen such as makeup, regular facials, good fitness and nutrition. While it will almost definitely make you feel better about your appearance, we are hearing from many patients who notice that Botox™ also helps them to stay competitive in the workplace.
Some people who have not yet tried Botox™ injections are concerned about the potential risks of the medication and where it comes from. While there are small risks with this treatment, like any other procedure, the risks of Botox™, at the doses we use, are many times lower than the risks contained in a bottle of Aspirin or Tylenol.
And best of all, Botox™ can be administered safely, effectively, and with minimal investment in the comfort of our office in as little as fifteen minutes, even over your lunch hour. Every Botox injection here at PROFILES is performed by the doctors themselves, so you can be assured of the absolute highest possible level of care. You can even return to work or other activities immediately looking and feeling like a better you.
After The Botox Injections
There is little downtime associated with the Botox injections. While some very minor swelling or bruising may occur at the injection site, patients are able to immediately return to work and other normal activities. The injection will usually begin to take effect in about three to five days with the maximum effect occurring in about two to three weeks. Botox treatments works on two levels, providing immediate improvement of wrinkles associated with expressions while also helping over time to prevent deeper wrinkles when regular appointments are kept. The results last up to four months on average. After that time, you will begin to notice a gradual return to your pre-treatment appearance. At this time, you may wish to schedule a repeat Botox treatment visit to maintain your satisfying results.
